REALITY SPORTS APPLICATION

COACH/VOLUNTEER ONBOARDING PROCESS
Thank you for your interest in serving with Reality Sports. We exist to turn the world upside down through sport, by sharing the life-changing message of the gospel with athletes and families, and to make “disciplers” of Jesus Christ within the context of sport. We are excited that you are interested in making much of Jesus Christ with us through your particular sport.

We believe that knowing what we are about is vital in pursuing ministry together. The volunteer onboarding process will provide essential information about our history, vision, mission and strategy, along with what we believe about the gospel and how it applies to sport.

With few exceptions, potential volunteers should have a Reality Sports reference. Your reference is most likely the one who sent you the link to this application. If you do not yet have an RS reference, please contact Brian Peterson at bpeterson@realitysports.org

Upon registering, you will be required to acknowledge that you are responsible for understanding the Concussion Information Sheet and the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Information Sheet. Please review them now. 

After entering your contact information (or just email address if you are already in the system), the application will ask Who's attending? Check the box next to your name and select your applicant type from the "Please Select" drop down menu, then click the CONTINUE button.

The following roles also require the submission of either one or two (as per the application) reference letters from your pastor, a ministry leader or a supervisor. Please obtain the letters and email them to office@realitysports.org.

-Board Member - two references
-Director - two references
-Head Coach - one reference
-Assistant Coach - no references needed

Upon completion of your application, you will be sent a link via email to follow in order to complete the appropriate BACKGROUND CHECK (unless you are a minor). You will be notified by your sponsor when your background check results are returned to continue the onboarding process. The final steps in the process are:

 -Online Abuse Prevention Awareness Training (1hr 20 mins videos & quiz which must be pass with 90% or better)
- Online RS Coaching Certification
