COST: : The following training is offered by DONATION. Though it says "Free" (a default setting we can't change), the training is not free. We believe everyone should pay something, but it is up to each family to determine what they are willing and able to pay for this training opportunity. A thoughtful donation can be given during the registration process or through the donation box available at every workout. You can also donate online at any time through our GIVING page. Thank you for doing your part to make sure we can continue to offer donation-based training for athletes and families!

RSMA will consist of four classes. You will not need to register for classes separate. Please read the description below for each class to ensure you are attending the correct class time and skill level.

PHASE 1 KIDS CLASS
WHEN: Monday - Thursday, 4:15 - 5:00pm, Year Round
WHO: Children ages 4-6
WHAT: Instruction for Phase 1 Kid’s Class will cover self-defense basics for younger children, based in the disciplines of Kajukenbo Ge Shou Dao, Submission Grappling, and Wrestling. This combination of hand-to-hand training focuses on proper striking, defense, standing and ground grappling techniques geared towards self-defense. Instruction includes “hands-on” drilling practice and live situation training.
All students will train together as a class; beginner through expert will learn techniques, as a group in a safe and fun environment. Children progress from beginner to advanced via a youth belt rank system.

PHASE 2 KIDS CLASS
WHEN: Monday - Thursday, 5 - 6pm, Year Round
WHO: Children ages 7 -12 years
WHAT: Instruction for Phase 2 Kid’s Class will cover self-defense basics based in the disciplines of Kajukenbo Ge Shou Dao, Submission Grappling, and Wrestling. Submission Grappling
WHEN: Monday & Wednesday, 6 - 7:30pm, Year Round
WHO: Ages 13 & Older (Students younger than 13 years old may participate in classes if he/she has 2 years or more of competitive wrestling or grappling experience or with coach's permission).
WHAT: RSMA Submission Grappling is a progressive grappling program that joins Freestyle Wrestling, Greco Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Sambo into one style. This progressive style blends well with competitive no-gi training and is applicable in self-defense situations as well.
Beginner through expert will learn techniques and drill, as a group, in a safe and fun environment. Students are given the opportunity to grapple live at each workout.
ATTIRE: We train in board shorts (grappling shorts). However, gi bottoms and athletic shorts without any metal or plastic are acceptable. A rash guard or a tight fitting T-shirt is best for this class, and we do not wear shoes or socks.

Adult Self-Defense
WHEN: Tuesday & Thursday, 6 - 7:30pm, Year Round
WHO: Adults and Children Ages 12 & Older
WHAT: Participants will receive training in the disciplines of Kajukenbo Ge Shou Dao, Submission Grappling, and Wrestling. This class focuses on more than the basics of hand-to-hand combat, although proper striking, defense, standing and ground grappling techniques are covered in each class. Instruction also includes weapon control and disarms, and high-paced live training that includes ground defense, as well as defense against multiple attackers.

WHERE: ALL RSMA programs will take place at the Reality Sports Training Center - 239 W. Stewart Ave, Puyallup, WA

A Bible message exploring the life and Gospel of Jesus Christ is presented at each workout.
